[S6E1] Memory Lost
Paige has a new job walking about a half dozen dogs and not having an easy time of it. Piper is in a strangely happy mood, in spite of having lost Leo. Paige and Phoebe think this is unusual for Piper. The sisters summon a Trok Demon and Piper tries to freeze him but blows one of his heads off instead. Phoebe vanquishes the demon with a spell. They learn only afterwards that Chris can't heal. Phoebe realizes that Piper is sad in spite of her apparently happy mood. The sisters want Chris to go up and find Leo, but then Chris admits that Leo is missing. Phoebe breaks the news to Piper, who seems unperturbed.
Paige is scrying for Leo, using a world map and even pictures of the planets, when Phoebe senses Chris's nervousness. Chris tries to discourage them from finding Leo, but the sisters are determined. The DJ stands Phoebe up, but she tracks him down, and in the resulting conversation, she becomes aware of her new power. Paige suspects that Leo has altered Piper's memory. Paige tries to restore it with a spell, but ends up wiping Piper's memory. She doesn't remember her name, nor Wyatt or Paige or Chris. She accidentally blows up a fixture. Paige finally scries for Leo, and she and Phoebe orb to Valhalla over Chris's objections. They find Leo in the bamboo cage, and soon after, two Valkyries attack. Leo throws two short swords, which strike the Valkyries' back. Leo warns the sisters to leave before the other Valkyries arrive.
Chris puts the pendant on Piper; with her memory blank, he easily convinces her that she really is a Valkyrie. Chris has brought two more pendants for the other sisters (and presumably killed two more Valkyries to get them). The sisters portal into Valhalla; the other Valkyries don't recognize them, but they release Darryl and are accepted. Darryl faces Leo in the bamboo cage. They circle each other, each unwilling to attack. Finally, at the urging of the Valkyries, Darryl lunges at Leo. He knocks Leo's helmet off and Piper recognizes him. Leo counter attacks, punches Darryl and tells him to stay down.
Piper's memory is restored, and shortly after the sisters Leo and Darryl escape, Piper and Leo argue. She is angry that Leo left and that he messed with her memory. He explains that he was going to reverse the spell slowly, but that somebody put him in Valhalla and he couldn't. Phoebe's empathy kicks in and she scolds and punches Leo; the noise attracts attention. Paige opens the portal but Piper won't go through. The others escape and some warriors follow them through the portal.
Paige tries to cure Piper's memory loss, but her spell goes amiss and Piper suffers total amnesia. Needing Leo's help, Phoebe and Paige discover that he is being help captive by warrior-maidens on the Island of Valhalla, an island of beautiful but lethal warrior-maidens. In an effort to save him, The Charmed Ones disguise themselves as Valkyries and orb into the Island of Valhalla.
Paige and Phoebe noticed Piper was acting weird. They thought Leo had something to do with it, but because he disappeared, they couldn't ask him. Paige cast this spell, hoping it would bring back Piper's memories, and thus bringing back her pain. The spell didn't work as it should have: it completely erased Piper's memory.
Through the song Invisible, Wallflower expresses her bitterness of always being ignored, even by people she has known for years. As she sings, Sunset tries to retrieve the Memory Stone from her backpack, but Wallflower notices and grabs it away. Sunset gets angry and tries to take the Stone by force, but Wallflower uses it to erase her and Trixie's memories of the past few hours. Sunset and Trixie are left locked inside the yearbook room with no memory of when or how they got there.
Dr. Nolan starts a psychotherapy session with House. House doesn't know where to start, but Dr. Nolan tells him the only way to find out what to talk about is to start. House says he's sick of being miserable. Dr. Nolan offers House SSRIs, but House is resistant. Dr. Nolan asks him if he's afraid to lose his edge. They talk about whether Van Gogh would have lost his inspiration, and Dr. Nolan says he wouldn't have, but his life would be better. House takes the pills and agrees to start taking his medicine.
Back in group therapy, Diane is wondering if she should have electroshock therapy. Alvie is having trouble with his rap for the talent show. Dr. Medina brings Dr. House a day pass and tells him Dr. Nolan wants to see him. He finds Dr. Nolan with a comatose patient - his father. He wants to show House his father's chart. House asks him if he ran out of sane doctors, but Dr. Nolan thought he might enjoy a break from the ward. Apparently, his cleaning lady found the father unconscious on the floor. The other doctors didn't think anything could be done, but he wanted House's opinion. However, Dr. House confirms a lacunar infarction with a hemorrhagic stroke. This compressed his brain, replacing brain tissue with blood - the other doctors were right. House realized that Dr. Nolan realized this before House arrived and he just wanted permission to pull the plug. He realized that at some point in his life Dr. Nolan lost everything except his father, and now House is the closest thing he has to a friend. Dr. Nolan tells House to shut up and that he doesn't want to play games. House takes off his jacket and sits by the bedside with him.
Dr. Nolan is about to leave when he finds House in the parking lot. House tells Dr. Nolan that Lydia left him and that he feels lost. Dr. Nolan agrees to write the letter to recommend the reinstatement of his medical license. Dr. House wants to know if he is just being nice, but Dr. Nolan tells him that he's doing it because he connected to another person and that he came to see him about the pain instead of running to take drugs. He tells House to go get a good night's sleep so he can say goodbyes the next day.
Dr. Beasley: Interact with people. Try to deal with people.Dr. Gregory House: Okay. [Gets up, walks over to Alvie]Juan 'Alvie' Alvarez: House! House! He's on my team...Dr. Gregory House: Shut up. No-one likes you. [Walks over to Jay-Bird and towers over him] Am I crowding you?Jay-Bird: What?Dr. Gregory House: Can't see the sun? [Sarcastically] Oh no, everything's closing in! [Takes the ball from Jay-Bird, turns to Dr. Beasley, and points at Jay-Bird] He's the claustrophobic one, right? Cause I'm doing this from memory. [Walks over to Richter, without dribbling]Richter: You have to dribble!Dr. Gregory House: Why? CIA satellites aren't watching me. They're watching you, because you're wearing green. [Richter takes his shirt off. House walks over to Hal] Anorexia? Really? What are you supposed to be a girl? And in answer to your implicit question, yes, those pants do make you look fat. [Walks over to Susan] How upset were you when you woke up in the hospital, hadn't died, and were a failure? [Shoots the ball into the hoops]Juan 'Alvie' Alvarez: Yeah! Score one, good guys!Dr. Gregory House: [Walks over to Beasley] You're right. It does feel good to reach out to people. [Turns to go inside]Dr. Beasley: It's yard time, Greg.Dr. Gregory House: Put it on my tab! [Walks inside]
House: She left and I'm lost. Dr. Nolan: I'm going to write your letter to the medical board recommending that they give your license back. House: You can't just console me by giving me a lollipop when I skin my knee. Dr. Nolan: Well, two things just happened. You got hurt, which means you got connected to someone else strongly enough to miss them. And more important, you recognize the pain and came to talk to me instead of hiding from it in the vicodin bottle. The fact that you're hurting and you came here, the fact that you're taking your meds, and we're talking right now. Come inside and get some sleep. Tomorrow you can say your goodbyes. 041b061a72
